Since we started shipping applications to data centres that we couldn’t get access to, and devices we’ve never even seen, we’ve got pretty good at centralising the monitoring data on it. We’ve even built some tenets around it in DevOps, and even a set of principles called Observability to know what’s going on. What I’m wondering, is can we do it on web apps as well as the server-side. This talk aims to find out if it’s possible with OSS standards and tooling.
